Authors of indie books will sometimes put their tomes on sale for $0 to help them reach new audiences, boost their reviews or rankings or for other reasons and you can get thousands of books FREE on scheduled “Stuff Your Kindle” days so readers can more easily find them. For the next 7 days, tens of thousands of books will be free in a variety of genres – and the links are below!

Some absolute godsends of book-lovers/ authors do voracious readers like myself a huge service by posting lists/ guides to the available books (sorted to sub-genre!) and often short summaries of the books with links to go “purchase” for $0.

You get to keep these books forever and they are 100% free!

I’ve downloaded hundreds of free books from previous Stuff Your Kindle days and found many new authors and series to love!

Stuff Your Kindle Day usually occurs a handful of times throughout the year; it began as romance-only, but has since expanded. Now there’s a Stuff Your Kindle Day for fantasy, mystery, thrillers, and more.

FYI* – Sometimes the entire series will be available for free and sometimes just the first book because the author hopes you’ll love it enough to pay for the rest of the series. I have spent $$ on subsequent novels from this with no regrets!

This is how I found Darynda Jones and the Charley Davidson novels – the first was free on a Stuff your Kindle day and I proceeded to become 1000% addicted to them and spent about $100 on the rest of the series. (It’s SO good, please read it.)

Many of the Stuff Your Kindle day books ARE available on Kindle Unlimited, but I recommend purchasing them so they don’t hold one of your KU slots.

When are Stuff Your Kindle Days?

These are usually announced a few days to a week in advance and to be alerted, I suggest signing up for email alerts from the hosting authors.

The original Stuff Your Kindle was started by Zoe York, who posts them at Romancebookworms.com – she has a mailing list and social where she announces!
