I love yard saling, like LOVE it.

The hunt, the haggling, the dragging home the kill, I mean finds.

I found some great stuff this weekend at a yard sale I stumbled upon and spent just $14 for some gifts, decor for my office and some other things that will improve my life in various ways.

I also went to two junk markets/ craft fairs and will never go to the former again. I had to pay $5 to get in to a building where they tried to sell me lularoe and pure romance. Total scam.

It tipped me off enough that I made a new personal rule – never pay more than $1 to be sold sh*t.

I give the $1 allocation because the second show was at a church, which was raising money for missions, and I’ll always be happy to pay $1 to aid with that. It was also a legitimate craft fair, with booths filled with things people made and not MLM junk.

I bought a ceramic tea-bag holder, I’m just tickled with and will likely use a lot.

As for the other type of sale….. it’s dead to me. I’ll stick with my free yard sales and flea markets from now on.
